KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa: Given all the excitement around the KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa over this 2010 Soccer World Cup period, there's doubt that anybody still needs a reason to get down to the Public Viewing Areas (PVA). We've listed our top 10 reasons for why we've been attending every single PVA...

Fifa World Cup KZN1.       The Vibe: It’s the second best way to enjoy the games, outside of actually being at the stadiums. You get to enjoy all the crowd participation that you would typically find at the live games without having to spend anything for entry.

2.       The Cost: It’s free. Enough said.

3.       It’s Safe: With top notch security and full emergency and rescue medical services available, going to a PVA means you can be part of all the action and still be kept in the best care.

4.       The Location: The PVAs have been designed to be in places that are central and which offer easy entrance and exit points. It’s just one of the ways local government has assisted those in KwaZulu-Natal to be part of the beautiful game.Fifa World Cup KZN

5.       The Screens: all the games are screened on Jumbo-trons, which means your view of the match is unlikely to be blocked by someone’s vuvuzela or bobbing head. Plus you get the added benefit of watching those great action replays.

6.       The Entertainment: There is tons of entertainment from some of South Africa’s most loved music groups and DJ’s.

7.       The Social Scene: Soccer lovers have one thing in common -- the love of the game. It’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

8.       The Significance: The 2010 Fifa World Cup is the first in Africa. This is indeed a historical moment for the continent and for South Africa. 80 Billion rand has gone into hosting this soccer extravaganza, and to say that you were part of the celebrations, is to put yourself into a part of the history of the country that can never be erased.

Fifa World Cup Durban9.       The Solidarity: There’s no better way to be proudly South African, that to join in with everybody in the Rainbow Nation and lift high our flag for all the world to see.

10.   The Soccer: If all of the above wasn’t enough, just being able to watch the superstars of the soccer pitch work their magic, should be enough to convince you to head down to your nearest PVA.
