KZN Soccer Legends Honoured
It was a spectacular evening at the Gala Dinner on 19 March as more than 100 football stalwarts and some current sportsmen were inducted at the first ever Night of the Legends event at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban. It was a nostalgic trip down memory lane for many soccer heroes as they interacted with their mates and acquaintances and reminisced on the glory days of old on the football pitch.
The 2010 Journey! Premier Sbu Ndebele On 23 November 2007, the Preliminary Draw for 2010 took place in Durban. The eyes of the world were glued on the city and KwaZulu-Natal, as we all looked forward three years, to see who will be playing whom at Africa’s first Soccer World Cup.
The People’s Kick Off - PVA, Confederations Cup Thrill!
Kwazulu-Natal’s 2010 host City Durban may not be hosting any Confederations Cup matches in June this year but the provincial government has made provisions for spectators to join in the excitement of the event by hosting Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) in several KwaZulu-Natal districts.
